Founded in 1995, PMBP is a fast growing peer reviewed quarterly journal co-published by Springer and Prof. H.S. Srivastava Foundation for Science and Society. It contains research and review articles, short communications, commentaries, book reviews etc., in all areas of functional plant biology including, but not limited to plant physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, cell and molecular biology, genetics, genomics and bioinformatics. Its integrated and interdisciplinary approach reflects the global growth trajectories in functional plant biology, attracting authors/editors/reviewers from over 60 countries. It is indexed by Thomson Reuters (IF 1.35). Scopus (IF 1.45), earnt over 1000 citations in 2016 and is among the top half of all plant journals globalIy (Scimago).
PMBP is seeking a full time Assistant Editor to assist the Editor in Chief at the Delhi office of the journal in GGS Indraprastha University, Dwarka, New Delhi. Applicant should have Ph.D. degree in the area of plant sciences and a good publication record in SCI-indexed journals of 1F>2. Excellent communication skills in writing editing and proofreading in English are mandatory, preferably with job experience of an editorial nature. The emoluments will vary between 4.5 – 5.5 lakhs per annum depending on the qualifications and experience.
